Conditions
- During your participation in The Hackathon, you are required to adhere to all facility and equipment rules, as well as comply with safety instructions and requirements.
- This Hackathon is run in English and you'll need to communicate with peers, mentors, and judges in English. It is ok if English is your second+ language. Just make sure your English is conversationally fluent, it is a requirement to participate.
- Any developments that you create during The Hackathon will be owned by you, and all rights, titles, and interests in those developments, including the intellectual property rights, will belong to you. However, you should be aware that you may gain access to Third Party Materials during The Hackathon, which are the products, developments, information, and other materials belonging to other participants, sponsors, or third parties. The Rules do not transfer any ownership or interest in the Third Party Materials to you, and your rights to them will be only those expressly granted by their owner(s). APIs or other software provided by sponsors of The Hackathon are subject to the subscription terms and software licenses associated with them.
- The Hackathon is a platform for freely sharing ideas. Therefore, any information that you choose to share with other participants, sponsors, or third parties during The Hackathon is solely at your discretion and risk. It is your responsibility to implement confidentiality and security measures if you wish to protect your information, and none of the Participants will have any responsibility under The Rules or as a result of their participation in The Hackathon with respect to your information.
- Prizes will be distributed by the sponsors. The event organizers will not handle prize money.
- Finally, you should be aware that the organizers and sponsors of The Hackathon, will be recording the event on video, photographs, audio recording, and other media.
Code of Conduct
- Respectful Behavior: Attendees are expected to behave professionally and treat others with respect. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, language or behavior that is sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise offensive.
- Inclusive Environment: Attendees should strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all participants. This includes respecting diversity of opinions, beliefs, and backgrounds. Attendees should also be mindful of the impact of their actions and words on others.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Attendees are encouraged to collaborate and work together in teams to create their projects. This includes sharing ideas, knowledge, and resources with other participants. Attendees should also be respectful of other teams and their projects.
- Professionalism: Attendees should conduct themselves professionally at all times. This includes being punctual, dressed appropriately, and prepared to participate fully in the hackathon. Attendees should also refrain from engaging in any activities that may disrupt the event or cause harm to others.
- Intellectual Property: Attendees must respect the intellectual property of others. This includes refraining from copying or plagiarizing the work of others without permission. Attendees should also disclose any intellectual property that they use in their project that is not their own.
- Safety and Security: Attendees should prioritize the safety and security of themselves and others. This includes reporting any incidents of harassment or unsafe behavior to event organizers. Attendees should also be mindful of their personal belongings and ensure that they are secure at all times.
- Compliance with Rules: Attendees must comply with all rules and guidelines set out by the event organizers. Failure to comply with the rules may result in disqualification from the hackathon.
Eligibility:
The Hackathon IS NOT open to:
- Individuals who are residents of, or Organizations domiciled in, a country, state, province or territory where the laws of the United States or local law prohibits participating or receiving a prize in the Hackathon.
